Emirates Skywards Future Artists 2014 Winners
I would like to congratulate our four talented winners on their achievements, and I look forward to seeing their inspiring artworks on the 2015 membership cards that will be carried around the world by millions of travellers. I would also like to thank all those who entered and voted in this year’s competition.
Senior Vice President, Emirates Skywards
This painting is a depiction of our world in the future with the implosion of chemicals, pollutants etc. This shows how our planet earth even though so beautiful will be ruined if we don't take care of it now. This is my vision of the end of the earth metaphorically and literally (physically) - an aged gaseous vortex in motion at the abyss of Earth.Quote:
"I am very thankful to Emirates Skywards for awarding my piece and giving wings to my art. My greater vision is to bring art to the forefront and add beauty to everyone’s world, one person at a time. With this award, I get a leap start into this mission. It is a great motivation and my sincere gratitude to everyone who voted for my work. Thank you!"

Emirates A380 Sunrise
A collaboration between Emirati Artist, Eman Khamis and her husband, Paul Rauch, an Australian photographer. Emans highly detailed, hand drawn art work has been photographed to give the impression of a sunrise seen from an Emirates A380, the work creates a vision of the positive, happy future which is rich in detail and possibilities.Quote:
"It’s really exciting that my art will be traveling with people on their Emirates Skywards cards as they fly around this amazing planet"
The time is 4:35am. Location: 35,000 feet. The golden hues of first light heralds a new beginning. Farewell to days past... hello tomorrow.Quote:
"In the desire to capture the magic of flying, I hoped to encapsulate that moment of first light, the warmth and feeling that comes with a new tomorrow. Future Artists helped reaffirm my passion for flying, and took my creativity to new heights.”

The work itself is one of the pieces I had started after coming to UAE. I have tried to use simple geometry to produce something that shows the infinite possibilities within these simple shapes and structures. And working on scratch boards have been fun. Literally bringing light out of the darkness as you scratch the surface. And then the meeting points of lines illuminate and create an illusion.Quote:
"It's very encouraging to be one of the winners and I am very thankful to all who have shown interest in my work. Very pleased indeed"
